Birthday celebrations!

Next khaki roll neck | Topshop Leigh jeans | New Balance 373.

Bonsoir! Yes my life is that exciting that I'm blogging on a Friday night, woo. I'm actually really enjoying a quiet night in on the sofa and for once I have the place to myself which means HELLO TRASH TELLY. Last weekend was my birthday weekend (the big 25) and considering I had barely any plans it turned out to be pretty busy. Nath took me to Cambridge for the day - I've only been once before but I remembered how pretty it is. It was pretty nippy so no punting for us! I really need to go in the summer, especially as I only live an hour away.

We visited The Cambridge Chop House for lunch which was ah-mazing. Little did I know my family would be sat waiting for me at the table! It was the best surprise and we spent a good couple of hours chatting and stuffing our faces with the best steak ever, followed by sticky toffee pudding (my ultimate fave). Totally recommend this place and their steaks, but definitely book as it's so popular people were getting turned away!

We then spent the afternoon walking round Cambridge and a spot of shopping, although I was so cold I had to roll my jeans down. Super cool look right there. I'm already planning on another trip to Cambridge when the sun comes out! Have you been before?

Burgundy Love

SHOES GLORIOUS SHOES. You have no idea how good I've been the last few months, the only clothes I've bought were for my ski trip to Megeve last week (which will be on the blog pronto!) I've had serious clothes shopping withdrawls and have had my eye on these New Balance trainers for ages. COME TO MAMA. I already own some NB 410's which I'm absolutely in love with. They're the comfiest shoes I own and perfect for the transition from winter to spring. Luckily for me, my boyfriend bought them for me as an early birthday present (he knew there was no way they could stay wrapped up for a few weeks).

As expected, they're super comfy, true to size and the colour is literally my fave. I've always been a fan of burgundy/berry colours but tend to play it safe and stick with black for shoes. However, these bold trainers have converted me and I'm having fun planning outfits with them! They look their best paired with black jeans, and I've thrown on my go-to knit for a casual Saturday outfit.
