Christmas Nails

This is probably my favourite nail polish ever. Bold statement right there! I've realised I've become super lazy when it comes to my nails, the days of nail art and jazzing them up has been and gone. These days, I prefer giving them a quick lick of colour then I'm good to go. I'm ever-so-slightly obsessed with these Seventeen gel nail polishes, so of course I had to get one for the festive season to add to my collection.

The whole Seventeen gel range is impressive - not only because they're fairly cheap, but because they last for AGES. I have four different colours and all of them last for at least 5-6 days, sometimes over a week, which is ideal for me seeing as I like effortless, low maintenance nails. The bright gel look nails have seen me through the summer and I've been wearing this glittery gold/bronze polish called Hot Toddy ever since it became acceptable to be Christmassy (so November then!)

What do you think? Have you tried the Seventeen gel nail polish?

Christmas in Lille

Lille Christmas

Bonjour mes amis! I had a flying visit to Lille a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my mama's birthday and I've been meaning to blog about it since. It was a quick but lovely 48 hours and definitely got me in the festive swing for Christmas!

What to do?

At this time of year, the Christmas market is in full swing. It was smaller than some I've visited before (Paris, Lincoln) but it had some of the best stalls that I've seen. There was more than enough alcohol to keep you suitably tipsy - fully recommend the mulled wine with a shot of amaretto! If that doesn't warm you up, nothing will. The stalls were varied with handmade jewellery, snow globes, clothing, build your own nativity sets, intricate baubles and Christmas decorations, food, cheese. There's nothing better than a Christmas market (and a mulled wine) to get that festive feeling.

Lille Christmas market
Hello mulled wine

Then there's Eurolille, a massive shopping mall (which happened to be right next to our hotel. Can you imagine how happy I was?!) There were plenty of well-known shops from Zara to Pull and Bear, to independent French brands. Also, this is literally the quietest shopping centre I've ever been to. You know how UK shopping malls are pure hell by 11am...well this one wasn't in the slightest. Shopping. Heaven.

Lille in winter
Wrapping up warm with my H&M hat! Nathan is wearing this Quiksilver hat

Where to eat?

FRENCH CAFES. I love authentic French food, not the chain restaurants you see along every street, but the independent, slightly shabby cafes with proper homemade food. It was 2 degrees and raining, so naturally we chose to sit outside. As you do. I love the street cafes in France, with their big canopies, patio heaters and blankets on every chair! So snuggly and you can sit and watch the world pass by.

Where to stay?

We stayed in the Suite Novotel Eurolille which was UH-MAZING. I tweeted some pics a while back. The rooms were bloomin' massive with a big bed, lounge area, full kitchenette, bathroom with a bath AND shower (winning). It was so quiet considering it was right opposite the Eurostar station and Eurollile shopping centre. It was also a 5-10 minute walk to the centre so we planned it pretty well. It was the perfect location for a city break in Lille and I could not recommend this hotel enough. The rooms were more than generous and the transport links were impressive - ideal for business and leisure alike.

Have you ever been to Lille/recommend anywhere for a Christmassy weekend break?

Festive treats

I've been waiting to get all festive on the blog, and what better way to kick it all off than with FOOD. As a food enthusiast (imagine putting that on your CV), Christmas tends to be my favourite time of year with baking, turkey, roasties, Yorkshire puds, mince pies and all of the festive treats. I was sent this batch of goodies from the guys at East of England Co-op (we've collaborated before here - basically they know I'm a massive foodie).

Drinks: Shawsgate Vineyard sparkling rose (2011) & Woodforde's Brewery Tinsel Toes Ale

It's not Christmas without a tipple or two am I riiiiiight. I haven't cracked these open yet but plan to very soon! The sparkling rose is right up my street and has been put to one side for a very merry Christmas eve. The ale has been bagsied (do people still even use that phrase?!) by my papa who is planning on indulging in it when the fam all come to visit at Christmas.

Treats: Leggs Bakery mince pies & Hadleigh Maid Christmas Whirls

I have such a sweet tooth so I massively enjoyed these. I'm always wary about mince pies as I feel like shop bought ones can be a bit cardboardy and won't live up to my mama's homemade beauties, but these Legg bakery creations are perfection. They're a good size, full of flavour and the filling has that mix of citrus and spice that just works. The whole pack was gone in 48 hours!

The Christmas whirls = pure chocolate heaven. I saved one for my boyfriend and did the whole "no it's fine you can have it" hoping he would say no...but he didn't. They're basically a marshmallow encased in thick milk chocolate and they are pretty dreamy.

All of these products are locally sourced from around Essex, Suffolk and the East of England - I love that this range supports local suppliers and companies especially at this time of year. All of the above will be available in store on 4th December (if I don't beat you to it and buy all of the Christmas whirls, that is).

Khaki and fur

Miss Selfridge coat | Oasis jumper | Topshop jeans.

Good Lord it's cold. Anyone else in like 500 layers right now? I have my thermal socks on and everything. I snapped up this coat in the House of Fraser discount event a few weekends ago and managed to get 20% off! Love a bargain. I actually saw this coat online first but my size had sold out, so when I saw it in the HOF store I had to get it. I'm a fan of khaki at the moment so this coat is the perfect addition to my winter wardrobe especially with the big fur collar.

Scuse the weird faces, this was a rushed OOTD shoot before it started raining again! Seriously can't be doing with cold weather, I really feel the need to hibernate or migrate to somewhere hot and sunny. Who's with me?

London Adventure

I can't believe how long it's been since I last blogged! So much has happened in the last month, I swear I've blinked and missed it (how is it November already?) I started my new job at the end of October which is going really well and loving every minute. As well as this, I've been maxed out every weekend which has sadly left no time for my little blog.

I had a weekend in London a few weeks ago with my boyfriend and brother, which saw us visit Shake Shack for the first time (ALL of the noms) and giving ICEBAR another visit - forever one of my favourite quirky bars in London. Then on the Saturday morning we decided to climb the O2. Heights really aren't my thing, along with physical activity, climbing or being up before 10am on a Saturday...but it turned out to be really good. We arrived just in the nick of time (cheers to the Uber driver who took us on the longest detour ever), got kitted out and ready to go.

We had a few fetching snaps taken, then walked up one of the steepest part of the climb. The heights things really wasn't an issue as you can't really see anything but the dome until you get on to the viewing deck at the top. Even then it feels totally safe and if you're anything like me, you'll be so grateful to stop and breathe for a minute the heights won't matter! Our guide, Ross, was a fab crazy Scottish dude and the whole thing took about an hour.

I also have to mention Hub by Premier Inn. Have you stayed there before? It's a quirky little hotel in St Martins Lane and is literally the most space-saving hotel I've ever seen. The desk pulls out form the end of the bed, the clothes rail is behind the mirror! Oh, and you can control everything from an app on your phone (lighting, do not disturb, temperature) which, for a nerd like me, was brilliant. The bed was actually comfy, the bathroom had a rainfall shower (er hello) and the breakfast I chose was the Metro box which has fresh porridge with honey and a pastry. Pretty blooming awesome. Here's to the crazy weekends.

P.S. None of this was sponsored for me! My brother-from-the-same-mother planned this epic weekend in collaboration with HP. Check out his sponsored post here).

A thing for navy

Proper autumnal post today! I wandered to the local park after work to get some pretty photos among the leaves. As much as I love autumn, I'll be sad when the evenings get darker and I won't be able to take any post-work outfit pics. Blogger nightmare! Plus I always feel way more antisocial when it's cold and dark, but hey, it's an excuse to stay in with Netflix, right? I'm currently obsessed with this dress from River Island, I love the Breton striped sleeves and fitted style, the length is perfect for work as it's not too short. It's also on sale right now GO GO GO (don't you just hate it when you buy something just before it goes on sale? WAH).

These navy suede boots are a new addition to my shoe collection. I have a thing for ankle boots and convinced myself I needed these and they happen to be super comfy which is always a bonus. I have to say I'm really impressed with M&S at the moment, especially their range of footwear. I now have two pairs of their boots, one of which has lasted me nearly 2 years so I'm hoping this pair will do the same!

AW15 F&F

AW15 F&F clothing

There's a huge part of me that's going to miss summer - beachy hair, strappy dresses, leaving the house without a jacket (definitely that). I'm really not a fan of the cold, but I do love autumn fashion; warm colours, chunky knits and lots of layers. And about five pairs of socks in my case. I was contacted by F&F with a preview of their AW15 range online...although it's taken me a few weeks to get this post up so it's not really a sneak peek now!

I've picked out some of my favourite pieces from the autumn winter F&F range, mainly featuring lots of faux fur and suede. I love the A line skirts at the moment, especially in the rust and burgundy colours and paired with a roll neck jumper. I'm new to the roll neck club and still fear they make me look like I have no neck and a floating head...but I love the chic, preppy vibes they add. It's nice to see some bursts of teal in F&F's autumn range too, definitely a colour that needs to be around more in autumn/winter and not just summer.

What do you think of my picks? Any autumn trends you have your eye on at the moment?

Summer throwback

New Look crop top | New Look shorts.

Sat here snuggled up in my cosy jumper finding yet more outfit pics from my Portugal holiday, SO depressing! I would happily live in shorts and a tee all year long if I could. I'm big on comfort and simplicity so I loved this combination of the khaki shorts and the high-neck cream crop top for an evening on the beach. Khaki has become a staple for me at the moment but there is no way I can brave the cold in these shorts...I need to find some khaki jeans to replace them for autumn (any suggestions?)

These ripped denim shorts were a favourite of mine over the summer. I find it so hard to get shorts to fit right as my bum is a size 10 and my waist a size 8, so most high-waisted shorts look bloody ridiculous on me unless they're elasticated! Thankfully Topshop came through with this ripped pair which were pretty much the perfect fit. I'm a fan of the effortless lived-in look so paired my ripped shorts with tousled waves and this Boohoo halter neck crop top. I always love autumn but I'm getting serious holiday blues from this post. TAKE. ME. BACK.

ICEBAR LONDON...ROCKS

So. Many. Ice. Puns. I've tried to keep them to a minimum but we'll see what happens. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, ICEBAR LONDON created a brand new theme - rock. I was invited along to the sneak peek last night which was pretty awesome (thanks to Chloe Nelkin Consulting for the invite). The theme changes once a year, going bigger and bolder every time. I hadn't been before so wasn't sure what to expect apart from the cold! The bar itself is a toasty -5 degrees but the cape and mittens (and whiskey cocktail...) helped with that.

(Single image above copyright Peter Kindersley)
The level of detailing and contouring on the ice sculptures was insane. The sculptures were much heavier than I thought, thank God, so it was pretty hard to knock anything over or worry about destroying the place with my massive handbag. The rock theme included plenty of ice studding, skulls, guitars, rockers and a Throne of Rock, as well as your very own ice glass. Definitely one way to keep your champers cold.

It's such a cool atmosphere (literally) and everything from the bar to tables are made of ice shipped over from Sweden. To add to the 'rock vibes' their cocktail list has been recreated with names such as Back In Black and November Rain gracing the menu. As someone who had never been before, I totally recommend checking this place out if you get the chance. It's definitely an experience and not the sort you can have in any old bar. The perfect place to CHILL (there we go, had to get a pun in there somewhere).

Mint Tortoiseshell

WOAH HELLO GLASSES. Part two of my Vision Express collab! I chatted about the eye test and process last week, and found that I needed a prescription to help with my eye strain. I sit on a computer for 8+ hours a day at work (and then blogging at home) which can be a massive strain on the eyes. I was actually pretty excited to pick out my glasses, although I took about an hour and a half to make a decision because I'm the most indecisive person on the planet. I think this Ralph Lauren pair (c/o Vision Express) was one of the first we picked out but I tried loads on, it's the best way to figure out what shape and style suits you.

I've been wearing these for around 1-2 months now and couldn't be without them. They're a massive help with all my computer work (I didn't realise how much I needed them) but I also adore the style, especially that dark tortoiseshell print with the contrasting mint colour. I've had so many comments on these over the past few months, I like that they have a classic style and shape with a fun pop of colour.

I was pretty amazed/overwhelmed by the amount of choice and tried on everything from Dior to Tiffany, Julien Macdonald and these Ralph Lauren beauties. It took me a while to get used to them, and to get used to seeing myself in glasses (I look more intelligent though, right?!)

Tropical prints

Ola! This is the first set of outfit photos from my trip to Portugal. I have enough blog pics to last me for the next month so I apologise for all the summery photos you'll be seeing! If it helps, it's giving me a major case of holiday blues. I had the best time in Portugal and the weather could not have been better. I was worried that going at the end of the summer would mean naff weather but we were greeted with sunshine and blue skies the whole time.
I had a pretty big Boohoo haul before I went away, including these tropical leaf print shorts. I became a bit print-obsessed this summer and fell in love with these shorts straight away (they were so cheap too). I teamed them with my Boohoo bikini, at the top, and my trusty Topshop crop top above for a wander to a local beach. I'm so sad to have packed away all my summer clothes now...somebody take me somewhere hot and sunny?!

Autumn stripes

Coming home from sunny Portugal last week, I knew these cosy socks were waiting for me at home. I received these alpaca socks c/o Tom Lane, a new luxury womenswear brand, just before I went on holiday and couldn't wait to try them out. I have never been so cold than when I arrived back in the UK last weekend! I usually go on holiday at the start of summer so I come back to a warm (ish) England, this time I stepped off the plane in London to wind, rain and 14 degrees. Lovely.

I was worried they would be an itchy or harsh material, but they are so soft (and handmade too - pretty impressive). I have God knows how many pairs of cheap thermal socks as my feet are permanently cold, but these alpaca socks have been way more effective at keeping my feet warm. Turns out alpaca yarn is a natural thermal insulator so these are going to be one of my autumn/winter staples - perfect for under jeans/boots or for snuggling up at home. I'm not happy that summer is nearly over, but I am a little bit excited for winter... anyone else looking forward to cosy evenings?!

Ray-Ban Lovin'

Ola! Apologies for the lack of blogging lately, I've been sunning it up in Portugal (I'll do a whole separate post on my travels next week!) It's definitely one of the prettiest places I've ever been so naturally I took heaps of photos for the blog, much to my boyfriend's delight ha.

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Vision Express earlier in the summer and I've been wanting to share these with you for ages! I had an eye test done which I was a bit nervous about as it's been over 3 years since I went for one (naughty me). It went smoothly and everyone was really lovely. The test itself was thorough and Amrit talked me through everything, it was actually pretty interesting to find out how much they can tell from checking your eyes - it's not just about your sight but your overall health too so definitely worth booking in and getting checked. It's only a few minutes out of your day and could potentially save your sight.

My eyes turned out to be pretty healthy, I have a condition called astigmatism in my right eye (basically means it's shaped like a rugby ball rather than a sphere - more info here) and my right eye needed a slight prescription. I also suffer with eye strain due to the nature of my job so then began the task of choosing some glasses. I'm indecisive at the best of times!

Over an hour later I finally picked a pair (big thanks to Ross and Laura for being so patient!) and a pair of sunglasses too. I went for some Ray-Ban Wayfarers (c/o Vision Express) which I am in love with - they were altered there and then for the perfect fit. I'm obsessed the tortoiseshell style and they got plenty of wear on holiday and on the beach! I've always been a fan of Ray-Bans having owned a couple of pairs of Aviators and I'd been eyeing up some Wayfarers for a while so these were perfect. What do you think?

P.S. Keep an eye out for next week's post featuring my amaaaaaazing Vision Express Ralph Lauren glasses!

Khaki in the country

Topshop cami | New Look shorts | New Look sandals (last year)

This was one of the coolest locations for blog photos! We went to visit my family in Lincolnshire and I took advantage of a Sunday afternoon walk in the country to get some outfit snaps. This is one of my favourite looks for the summer, I picked up the khaki shorts from New Look at the weekend and had to have them. I've become quite a fan of khaki at the moment and teamed these high-waisted shorts with my new Topshop cami (which is amazing by the way as it's the only white cami top I've found that isn't totally see-through!)

I'll definitely be taking this outfit to Portugal with me. The shorts are a really light material which will be perfect for a hot day too. What do you think of this summer look?

Ripped knees

New Look top | Topshop jeans | New Look sandals

I took advantage of a trip to the beach on Saturday and decided to get some outfit pics whilst I was there. I love living down South as I'm only a 20 minute drive from the beach (I used to be over 2 hours from my nearest beach - cry). Nathan and I went for an afternoon stroll in the sunshine...mainly so he could get over his hangover. Not sure he realised blog photos were on the agenda, oops ;)

I'm obsessed with these ripped white jeans from Topshop, I've always been a fan of Topshop jeans and this colour is perfect for summer. I've been wearing them with my New Balance's and a black cami or with sandals and my khaki top as seen here. I'm all about casual-glam at the moment and these white skinny jeans are easy to dress up or down.

I'm a little bit gutted I didn't get some photos in front of the beach huts, how cute are they! There were too many people around for me to get my pose on, maybe next time.

Summer Lust List

Summer lust list

Boohoo crop top | New Look tee | H&M playsuit | Topshop denim shorts | New Look bag | Ray Ban sunglasses | Topshop swimsuit

I have so many things I want to buy right now! These are just a few pieces I'm lusting after. I've become a fan of crop tops over the summer and love this strappy style from Boohoo - perfect for teaming with high waisted shorts and skirts. The tropical print playsuit from H&M is a favourite of mine as I'm hugely obsessed with anything palm print at the moment - imagine this with a tan! Denim shorts are always a staple in my summer wardrobe but I'm definitely lacking a ripped pair so these will be at the top of my list on pay day along with the cute scallop swimsuit from Topshop. I've been looking for a swimsuit for a while now and love the simple detailing on this one.

Sunglasses are always a must; Ray Ban are one of my favourite brands for looking effortlessly cool and summer-ready. I have a pair of Aviators already and some Wayfarers on their way...just need these Clubmasters to complete the collection! I'm also loving pastel accessories at the moment too, perfect for a splash of subtle colour.

What do you think? Do you have your eye on any of these?

Woodland Stripes

ASOS stripe dress | Denim jacket (old) | New Look sandals | Ray Bans

I have kickstarted my stripe obsession once again. I adore this dress from ASOS and had to have it for the summer - it's definitely on my packing list for Portugal! I love the halter, backless style and the skater skirt is flattering too. It's one of those dresses that's quickly becoming a summer staple as it's so easy to pair with everything (and will look even better when pasty little me has a tan). I've paired it with a denim jacket here but it also looked good with a summer parka...I'll upload some photos soon!

I love this woodland setting - kinda wish I had this for every blog post. I took these outfit snaps on a trip to Longleat Center Parcs which was the perfect chill out weekend. Swimming, sunbathing, trips to the lake and a spa morning = perfection and I spent the whole time in casual sundresses like this one.

Travel: Nice

Around six weeks ago, I went on a short break to Nice with my mama and it was pretty beaut! I had recently got over my fear of flying and wanted to give it a go (and I'll find any excuse for a holiday). We went to Nice for a long weekend and I loved every minute of it. The approach for the airport is amazing, although I only saw it when leaving as we had loads of cloud when we landed. For May, the temperature was around 24 degrees which suited us fine and meant we got some time on the beach (with amazing turquoise sea. Seriously, no filter on the pics above!) It was the perfect short break with so much to see and do.

Shopping

My biggest mistake? Not leaving enough room in my bag! Nice has a maze of shops and department stores. From big designer brands to independent boutiques, Nice has got you covered and you could easily spend the day shopping. Galeries Lafayette is worth a visit, even if it is just to stare at the beautiful Michael Kors bags!

Food

I'm shocked I didn't take any food photos. I am usually that person taking a photo of every meal and Instagramming it instantly! Basically, you will not be short of places to eat in Nice. My tip would be to try some of the smaller independent bakeries for lunch. I wish I could remember the one we went to, the lady was lovely and even rewarded me with free macaroons for ordering everything in French! Their homemade eclairs and pizzas are to die for. We also ate at the restaurant on the rooftop of our hotel which was amazing (Le Splendid - check out my review)

Language

As with most European places, the people of Nice do tend to speak English although it does vary from person to person. We found everyone to be friendly and polite, however, if you're prepared to brush up on your merci's and sil vous plait's I've found you do get more brownie points! I can speak a little French anyway but even just saying bonjour and trying to order food in French can earn you more respect and a smile (or some free macaroons, y'never know).

Day trips

One of my favourite days was Monaco. It was about a 20-30 minute train ride straight into Monaco and the view from Monaco's station was incredible (bottom left photo!) We wandered round cobbled streets and down to the modern marina, we saw all the grand prix areas as it was taking place around the time we visited, we trekked up so many hills and found a lovely royal palace to wander round. Everyone says Monaco is expensive, but we did find a cheap place to eat and some cheaper shops. If you get the chance, Monaco is well worth doing and the train only costs about 7 euros for a return.

Beach

One of the main things that drew us to Nice was the fact it was a city break and beach break all in one. The beach in the city is pebbly so we ended up going to one of the private beach areas and renting out a couple of sun beds and parasol (I think it was 30 euros in total for half a day). These tend to have restaurants and bars too which is nice if you're going to spend the afternoon there. There are sandy beaches outside of Nice if you don't mind a short journey for the feel of sand between your toes.

I can't wait to go back for a longer holiday as I would love to do Cannes too. Have you been to Nice/have any recommendations for the area?

To the ball

Okay, let's start off by saying sorry to my brother! This is probably not the most flattering photo of him, but it was the only decent one of me. So I had no choice...(sorry Sam)...I went to a charity ball last weekend which turned out to be a great evening. I spent forever trying to find a dress and snapped up this Missguided beauty when it came back in stock, after many dress fails and some brands that made it incredibly stressful with their total lack of customer service. AND BREATHE.

I love the simple style of this dress, the slim flit and the elegant neckline. I did have my eye on the red version but unfortunately it was sold out so I went for classic black and paired it with my hot pink clutch. It's not often I get to glam up so I really enjoyed donning a ball dress, taming my mane and whacking on a bright lip (Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick - literally my holy grail of lipsticks. It's insanely matte). Also, can we just give Missguided a high five for the length of this dress. At 5ft8 I have a tough time finding floor length dresses and I'm not quite tall enough for Tall ranges - you see my dilemma.

I went for these Miss KG shoes which you can't really see in the pics and I totally forgot to get some photos of. Yep, they're flats. Heels made the dress do the not-quite-floor-length-now thing so I rebelled and left the glass slippers at home. Not quite Cinders, but there's always next time.

Saturday night in

Sometimes I love having a Saturday night in with nowhere to be and a few mojitos on the go. I was gifted this casino set from bgo a few weeks ago and it turned out to be the perfect entertainment without having to move off the sofa! I've never been good at casino games or betting, mainly because I tend to guess and hope for the best. I'll admit, I lost twice and ran out of chips within minutes but it was good fun!

The kit itself was pretty impressive for its price of £10. You get a full on roulette table complete with the spinning wheel and chips. I think the chips could be a bit nicer/more realistic looking to complete the casino vibe, but overall for the price it provided hours of entertainment (and some disappointment in my case!) I am quite a competitive person so I'm going to have to up my game. Definitely good entertainment for a night in with friends or family with some cocktails on the go, we'll be using it for some pre-drinking games before heading in to town too.

Sourced Locally

I'll be honest, I had a great time with this blog post (mainly because it involved me eating two puddings in one sitting). I was contacted by the East of England Co-op PR team offering me the chance to get involved with their Sourced Locally Fortnight. I'm usually the type of person who grabs whichever brand is on offer, I don't usually give much thought to my weekly food shop so it was nice to actually take the time to see what local produce was available. I stocked up and decided on a summer dessert theme. (I may or may not have a sweet tooth. And a dessert obsession).

I used some of the ingredients seen above (c/o East of England Co-op) to create Eton Mess, Cookie Sundae and Berry Lemonade. I then went on to eat it all in one evening - totally advise against this as you will feel like a beached whale, I promise you. I've included the recipes below, I'm quite a lazy chef so like to throw things together quickly, which is why all of the recipes take 5 minutes or less!

My favourite local products have to be the ice cream (so creamy and you can taste that it's homemade), the chocolate, fresh strawberries and the lemonade, although I'm yet to give the jam a try! Sourced Locally Fortnight is on until 14th June and you can find loads more about it (and some recipes) here. I'm off for a second helping of Eton Mess, which will probably be followed by rocking a food baby and crying in to my bowl.

House of Fraser Autumn/Winter Preview

Last week I was invited to attend the House of Fraser A/W press event...which basically meant I got to have a good snoop around their upcoming collections! Not one to pass up an opportunity for a good nose around, I headed to London with my SLR in hand. I loved looking around both the fashion and homeware showrooms and there are so many amazing trends to look forward to. I also met the lovely Emily and we had a good few hours wandering around the collections and having a natter!

Womenswear AW15
I’ve recently taken to the colour yellow and love its vibrancy so the yellow coat above is perfect for a bold statement. It can be easily toned down with monochrome or paired with corals/fuchsias for some colour blocking if you’re feeling brave. I’m a big kid in the way that I have an obsession of all things fluffy (IT’S SO FLUFFY) so the furry bags, gilets and coats were also a major hit with me - I totally have my eye on the biker jacket with fur collar. You will be mine. Other loves included: pretty much all the bags (hello muted pastels and geometric designs), cut-out heels, soft knits and casual tops because I love a good slouch tee.

Homeware AW15

I had a great time mooching round the homeware and dreaming of it all in my apartment. Apart from knocking pretty much everything over (I’m a massive klutz and shouldn’t be allowed near anything remotely breakable) I loved walking round their showroom which had been made up like a real home. The vibrant bedding stole the show for me and I wanted everything from the dining section. Expect to see plenty of metallics for the industry look in the House of Fraser A/W collection including industrial style lighting and bronze cutlery (HUGE LOVE). The furry throws, knitted blankets and cosy cushions were also favourites of mine – all that was needed was a log fire and a good film and I would’ve made myself at home there!

What do you have your eye on from the House of Fraser Autumn/Winter collection?
